Tasks
Open Tasks from the side menu bar.
Tasks is the single list of things waiting on you for a decision. It gathers up the approval queues that otherwise sit in separate corners of the system, so nothing depends on remembering which screen to go and check.
The menu button carries a count of everything outstanding, so the number is visible without opening it.
What appears here
| Task type | What it is |
|---|---|
| Credit Approvals | Credits raised and waiting to be authorised |
| Refund Approvals | Refunds waiting to be authorised |
| Authorise Withdrawal Requests | Requests to withdraw a pupil, awaiting a decision |
| Service Requests | Requests raised against your service |
You only see what you are allowed to action
Each of those four is tied to a matching access right, granted through User Groups: Authorise Credits, Authorise Refunds, Authorise Withdrawals and Service Requests.
A task type appears in your list only if you hold the right for it, so two people opening Tasks may see quite different lists, and the count on the menu button is personal to whoever is signed in. If somebody reports that a queue has gone missing, it is their group membership to look at rather than the data.
