Open Settings from the side menu bar, then Calendar > Teaching Groups.

Licence

Available with the Tuition, Encore, Merit or Group licence.

A Teaching Group is a named group of pupils taught together in one session - the arrangement where several pupils share a lesson rather than being taught one to one.

Setting the groups up here means a session can be attached to a group rather than to a list of individuals. Attendance, task results and pay then follow the group, so a single lesson is recorded once even though several pupils were present.

For services where most teaching is done in groups rather than individually, this is the setting that makes the schedule reflect what actually happens.
