Assessments

Open Settings from the side menu bar, then Activity Sections > Assessments.

An Assessment is a predefined description of attainment - the wording you use to say what level a pupil is working at. Set the criteria up here, and they become selectable when a pupil starts tuition and when their progress is recorded.

Having them predefined means everyone describes the same standard the same way. Where teachers write their own wording, two pupils at an identical level can end up recorded quite differently, and nothing can be compared across a service.
