Credit Reasons

Open Settings from the side menu bar, then Finance > Credit Reasons.

A Credit Reason records why money was credited back to an account. Whenever a credit is raised, or a balance is written off, a reason is given from this list.

Keeping the list short and meaningful is worth the effort. These reasons are what you will be looking at later when someone asks why the year's credits are higher than expected, so they need to distinguish genuinely different causes - a lesson your service could not deliver, an administrative correction, a goodwill gesture, an uncollectable balance - rather than being a list of near-synonyms.
