Ordering services

Your organisation orders from the service's catalogue — tuition, ensembles, instrument hire, equipment — through a basket, in the way you would expect an online order to work.

Where to find it: Enrol in organisation mode, then Pending Orders and Your Basket under Organisation Account

Building a basket

Enrol shows the catalogue for your organisation. Pick a service type, then an item, and add it to the basket. Depending on the item you may be asked for a date from, which terms it runs for, and a quantity.

Your basket lists what you have chosen with its activity, academic year, charge, cost and who ordered it — useful when several colleagues add to the same basket. Each line has a remove button.

The basket is the organisation's, not yours

Anybody who acts for the organisation sees the same basket, which is why the Ordered by column exists. Before you submit, check you are not sending somebody else's half-finished order along with yours.

Submitting it

When you submit, one of two things happens, and the page tells you which:

  • Placed at once — the order is accepted immediately.
  • Placed with the office — it has gone to the service to action.

Which you get depends on how your service is set up. Neither is a failure; the second simply means somebody will look at it.

Pending Orders

Pending Orders is what you have ordered and not yet had: activity, status, charge, date from, terms, quantity, cost and who ordered it, with a total at the bottom.

Some totals are still to be confirmed

The page says so where that is the case, and it is worth reading before you take the total to a budget holder. An item whose price depends on how it is finally set up — pupil numbers, a rate, a term count — cannot be totalled until the service confirms it, so the figure shown is indicative rather than a quote.

Choose the academic year to see orders for a different year, and Your Basket to go back to anything you have not submitted yet.

If there is nothing, you are told no items available — which, on a year you have not ordered for, is what you should expect.
