Contact Teacher

Contact Teacher writes to the teachers who come to your organisation — the counterpart of the teachers' own Contact School.

Where to find it: Organisation Account > Contact Teacher

Tick the teachers you want, write the message, and Send. Each teacher gets their own message, so no teacher sees who else you wrote to.

Afterwards, read what it tells you

When it has sent, you are shown who it reached and, separately, anybody it did not. That second list is the one that matters — a message that reached three of four teachers looks identical to one that reached everybody until you look at it.

Where a teacher cannot be sent to at all, the page says so rather than letting you write a message that goes nowhere. If nobody can be reached, you are told no teachers, and the office is the route instead.

Good uses, and one bad one

Worth sending: a closure, a change of room, a fire drill, parking arrangements — anything that affects everybody coming in on a given day.

Not worth sending: anything about an individual pupil's lesson or attendance. That belongs to the teacher's own record of the lesson, and a message about one child sent to several teachers spreads it wider than it needs to go.
