Auditions

Potential pupils and members are often asked to audition before being accepted into a group or a study. Xperios manages that process and guides applicants through it.

Setting one up

Add starts a new audition, set Live, in the current academic year and carrying its dates, with the first Auditions service type and its ledger code, the first VAT code, and the next audition code. Where there is no Auditions service type or no VAT code, Add refuses.

It needs a name, a code of letters, digits and dashes, and an end date that is not before the start.

What is saved with it

An audition carries its own:

• Items - what the applicant is asked to do
• Time slots - when people can be seen
• Subjects, genres and exam boards it applies to
• A picture

All of these are saved with the audition itself.

Archiving

An audition in use is archived rather than deleted, so the applications and results recorded against it stay readable.
