Adding a tile

From a dashboard, + Add Part opens a picker of existing Dashboard Items and drops the chosen one onto the canvas as a new tile.

There is currently no way to build a brand-new visualisation directly from the dashboard screen. Build the Dashboard Item first — from a Query's results, via Save as Dashboard Item — then add it to a dashboard as a Part.

Arranging the canvas

Tiles can be dragged and resized freely on the grid. Changes save automatically, and tiles can be removed individually.

Refreshing

Each tile has its own manual refresh button and an optional auto-refresh interval: off, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, or 15 minutes. A Refresh All button refreshes the whole dashboard at once.

Outside of that, tile data is static until refreshed — it does not update continuously by itself.
