Notifications

Notifications tell you when something has happened that you asked to hear about — a payment arrived, an offer was accepted, a scheduled report is ready, somebody replied to one of your issues.

They arrive two ways: as a pop-up while you are working, and as a list you can come back to.

The list

The Notifications menu opens on the notifications themselves — the last thirty days, newest first, with anything new since your last visit marked.

Where a notification is about something you can open — an issue, a scheduled report — it carries a link straight to it.

What you can be told about

Events fall into five categories: Finance, Admissions, Scheduling, System and Support.

Within those, the things Xperios can raise are:

EventRaised when
Payment ReceivedA payment comes in
Application CompletedSomebody finishes an application
Offer AcceptedAn offer is accepted
Offer DeclinedAn offer is turned down
Cancellation RequestedSomebody asks to cancel
Lesson ChangedA lesson moves or changes
Scheduled Report ReadyA scheduled report has run
Query Threshold ExceededA query alert has tripped
Issue UpdatedAn issue you are involved in has moved

Choosing what you get

The cog switches to the settings, which have three parts.

Subscriptions — which events you want to hear about. Subscribe to the ones that matter to your job and leave the rest; a notification you always ignore is worse than none.

Alerts about you — how you are told, and when.

Test — sends yourself a test notification, so you can confirm the whole path works before relying on it.

If notifications stop arriving

The settings show the connection state — connecting, connected, reconnecting, disconnected or failed to connect.

Pop-ups arrive over a live connection, so they need Fusion open in a browser tab. If it says anything other than connected, reload the page. The list itself is unaffected either way — nothing is lost, it simply arrives when you next look.
