The report I want isn't there
Finding the report that replaced the one you used to run, shaping it to the question you actually have, and knowing when to ask us.

Step 1 of 7
There are two lists, not one
Reports and Queries are separate, and the thing you are looking for is in one or the other. Reports are laid out and printable; queries give you a table you can sort, filter and export. People regularly search one, find nothing, and conclude it has gone.
Star the ones you run often and they move to Favourites at the top, which saves the search every time.
Use the arrow keys to move between steps.
Why this one is worth knowing
"The report I want isn't listed" is the single most common query and reporting ticket, and it is usually one of three things.
It is in the other list. Reports and Queries look similar and are not the same place.
It is there under a different name. The desktop and Ensemble reports were renamed on the way over.
It is there, and the column is hidden. Columns shows everything the query returned, which is normally much more than the table is showing you.
And when none of those is true, asking is the right move rather than a work-around — it is built once, centrally, for everybody.

- Emailing a lot of people at once — when the list is who you want to write to
