Your working day

Xperios Essentials, section 3 of 7. The three places Xperios tells you something is waiting - Tasks, Notifications and Issues.

What you will be able to do

  • Tell at a glance whether anything is waiting on you or your team
  • Spot a queue nobody has taken ownership of
  • Choose what you are told about, and prove the path works before relying on it
  • Know where a support ticket lives, and which direction it points

Step 1 of 6

Three things that tell you something is waiting

Three things in Xperios tell you something is waiting. Tasks, for work waiting on your team. Notifications, for things that have happened that you asked to hear about. And Issues, for support tickets. Home gathers the headline of all three in Needs attention, top right, and when there is nothing in any of them the panel is not there at all.

Use the arrow keys to move between steps.

The recap

  • Tasks is the work waiting on your team, and each entry carries a live count.
  • A count that never falls usually means nobody has taken ownership of that queue, not that the work is hard.
  • Notifications arrive two ways - a pop-up while you work, and a list holding the last thirty days. For an older day, use Show a day.
  • Pop-ups come over a live connection, so they need Fusion open in a tab. If they stop, reload the page; the list itself loses nothing.
  • { "Events fall into five categories": "Finance, Admissions, Scheduling, System and Support." }
  • Before relying on a notification for something important, send yourself one with Test.
  • Issues point both ways - the Issues Manager is tickets raised with you, Assistance is your own tickets with Paritor.

Now take the test

Six questions, in Xperios under Training. Everything it asks is in The recap above.

If you want the detail

  • Tasks — every queue and what is in it
  • Notifications — subscriptions, alerts and the connection state
  • Issues — the full workspace, both directions
